The Island General Store is the island’s only full service grocery. It is located on Catawba Ave. in downtown Put in Bay. It offers a full line of meats, vegetables, fruits, newspapers and the Ohio Lottery. The Island General Store is open all year for visitors and residents alike. Store hours vary based upon the season but they are almost always open between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Extended hours occur during the summer.
The Park Drive Thru is located in the heart of downtown on Harford Ave next to the Boathouse. The drive thru offers a good selection of beer, sodas, and miscellaneous foods with a convenient walk or drive thru atmosphere. All your Put in Bay island needs are found at the Park Drive Thru. They are even open late night until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays!
The Put-In-Bay Gazette is the island’s only newspaper. The monthly paper has been serving Put in Bay for more than 30 years. The Gazette is the oldest island newspaper in the state of Ohio. Subscriptions are available for a small charge so you can read your Put-In-Bay news while wintering in Florida or anywhere else.
Erie Island Petroleum (Dynagard) is the only gas station on Put-in-Bay. A full source of all your fuel needs. Erie Island also has a full auto repair service. Also noted for that early morning cup of coffee. When that jet ski or 4 wheeler needs fuel or repair, Put in Bay has the place

The Put in Bay EMS Department members are the unsung heroes of Put-in-Bay. They provide emergency services, to the extent of their equipment, and have saved numerous lives on the island. While Put-in-Bay does not boast a hospital, the EMS can help out in an emergency situation and keep victims stable as they are transported to either a ferry for transport off the island or a Lifeflight helicopter liftoff from the airport. The Put-in-Bay Fire Department consists of many volunteers who all drop what they are doing and speedily arrive at the scene of a fire or emergency when summoned. All are professionals in their field and are the backbone of the community.
We are an all volunteer department and have the following trucks: 2 pumpers, 1 tanker, a truck with a portable pump that pumps 1250 gpm.
