The pooch parade is a long time island event begins with registration at 9:30 AM at the DeRivera Park gazebo, and the parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM. Registration is $15 per dog and entitles your best friend to receive a doggie goodie bag and compete for prizes. Plus it helps charity at Mother of Sorrows Church!

Judges will determine the cutest, smallest, largest, most talented, individual best dressed, group best dressed, and dog that look most like its owner. Even if you don’t have a Put-in-Bay pet, you can still enjoy the festivities! This is always a great family event sponsored by Mother of Sorrows church.

No cats allowed!!! This is strictly enforced.

Top 5 Dog Etiquette Rules for Pooch Parade

  • Clean Up After Your Dog. Keep him from relieving himself on buildings or on the properties of others.
  • Keep Your Dog Leashed in Public. Keep your dog close to your side and leashed at all times.
  • Respect Other People’s Property. Enclose your property with a quality fence or use a tie-out.
  • Keep the Noise Down. Loud and constant noise will eventually wear down your nerves and those of everyone else on the block.
  • Take Care of Your Dog. Keep your dog brushed, clean, and well groomed.
